Posted for people who don't want to pay ps+ subscription. It's a paywall of $60 over and over, for access to the game. Some people like having physical game for only $20 one time payment, that works forever.
Just a preference thing

For this reason alone, if I like a game well enough, I've sought out physical copies of a "free" digital copy of the same game I've received as a thank you for my obligatory annual PS+ subscription. You've done me a great service by separating me from my hard earned beer tokens in exchange for something shiny, that I can actually touchy feely. For that, I thank you for your efforts. In for a sack! 😁

This is mostly a totally valid reason to want to own your own games, but there's several things that you've said about PS Plus which aren't quite true.
1) the yearly membership cost does goes on sale, at least once a year on black Friday. And you can get it even cheaper if you stack on a discounted Sony playstation store card, best prices are usually $80 for a $100. I'd say using the right techniques, you could get it as low as $30 per year.
2) You do need at least a PlayStation Plus membership to be able to play online multiplayer. So if you're going to be doing that indefinitely, the free games are virtually yours to keep.
3) You do get pretty significant extra discounts on certain games here and there when they go on sale that are in the PlayStation store. I'd say at least a couple times a year the extra ps plus member discount is worth it for that reason alone.
Still may not be for everyone but definitely not fair to just consider it a $60 paywall
This is a really fun game and my kids and I are really enjoying this game. I wasn't into the Little Big Planet series but this game is pretty awesome. Tons of laughs and the co-op play is pretty cool and encourages teamwork which I found really cool while playing the game with them. The music in the game is pretty awesome too and I find my kids humming the tunes way after their gaming sessions. I got this game for free with PS+ this month but may consider getting a physical copy because it is a pretty good game overall.

Some people play online multiplayer games and always have PS+. The free games are a nice bonus

Don't go around calling people "wrong" for having different preferences than you, and stop projecting them onto me.
1) essentials hasn't been on sale for lower than $47 since the new tier system was put into place.
2) I don't play online games. Not my thing. Glad you enjoy it, but again you're assuming I play them. By the way, online is FREE with PC games. Steam even offers cloud saves FREE since you like digital games. You can play PC games forever without console generation limitation. Don't think consoles players realize how ripped off they are, sad really.
3) I don't buy digital games or content, how did you not get that from my post? "Deals" on digital games don't mean anything to me. Deals on PHYSICAL games like the one I posted do.
