It will give you the cheapest games free so if you are are buying 2 game at 59.99 and 2 games at at 44.99, make sure to do separate transactions.

I tend to order a lot from GameStop. I would say 10-20% of the time the game comes open because it's a display case from a store. In those cases I either take it to GameStop to return or ship the replacement back. I think for the $5 monthly coupon + the points and cashback % offers it's worth the occasional hassle. I don't get any benefit when I buy from Amazon , but I get the convenience of it.

Every time I read one of these comments I wonder if they are the outlier or I am. I literally haven't had Gamestop try to pull the whole 'open case, disc from behind counter in a sleeve' thing in like a decade. Does this stuff actually happen with any form of frequency beyond standard bullshit that would also happen at say Amazon or Best Buy?

Almost every time for older games, especially if there's a sale. About 10 out of the last 11 I bought. Never had a problem with keys and luckily they weren't gifts so whatever.

If it is a new release with lots of stock, then never.

If the games were for any system, I would take part in this. There are games I want but not for the systems that are eligible. I probably should have gotten them in last weeks B2G1 but my backlog will thank me for not buying any games during both of these sales.

Man, if I didn't already have 4 of the 20th anniversary edition controllers, i would be all over this. Shit, even still I am tempted, I love me a good crystal controller. So frustrating how many different ones Microsoft has put out this gen already, and Sony can't be bothered to make a single one.
