Example: If you do anything that requires straight lines, such as graphic design, UI/UX, or CAD, you may not like that straight lines appear curved on most of the screen, except where it's inline with your eyes.
However, I have a Samsung 49" 1000R screen and love it for my needs. I do a lot of video watching and gaming, but I also do CAD work and 3D printing. I feel confident in my skills that if the software says a line is straight, it's straight. I noticed it early on. It doesn't really bother me now.
Also, many curved panels are VA, or were initially, so perhaps this one being IPS might explain the higher MSRP.
