My wife likes this hairdryer.

That means more to me than the arguments of "is it really 3x better than a $100 dryer", etc.

I bought one for my wife a couple years ago that died last year. I bought her a shark equivalent for Christmas. I have 4 daughters and often have to help blow dry their long hair. I have to say, the dyson one is definitely better than the shark one.

Unfortunately for me, not only does my wife likes this hairdryer, but so does my teenage daughter. I may have to get a second one.

Pro tip: clean the filter on a regular basis. When it clogs up, it will overheat and shut down quite often. I almost had to replace ours until I saw that the filter is full. I cleaned it out and it was fine again.

Did you clean out the filter? i thought mine was dying too since it was shutting down after 2 minutes of use, but after cleaning out filter it was fine again.

Great deal with the 15% off - but can refurbished be trusted?

That's the question I have as well. Are these customer returns or ones people send in for repairs?

I have purchased the hairdryer, 2 heaters, and 2 stick vacuums over the years from Dyson refurbed. Zero problems with any still and all looked new when I got them

Been using a Dyson hair dryer for over 3 years. My only complaint is the awkward cold shot button and how loud it is. I've heard quiet hair dryers and this is much louder.
Also, on high heat it has a burning smell, not sure if normal.

Many dyson refurbs are returns, little to no wear.
Still a roll of the dice.
Edit: 30 day returns. Seller pays for return shipping.

Same. My wife recommends the flyaway attachment if you have long straight hair. Buy the bootleg version of eBay if you don't want to pay the full price.

My wife's broke which I used myself sometimes (ok all the time) and I regretfully replaced it with the shark and got her the Dyson curling iron since that was the hot Christmas item. The reviews made it sound like the air flow/speed is the same, but the Dyson is significantly better. I love my shark vacuum, though.
