I literally have it loaded right now, and reading the crap out of it. I just prefer personal experience from slickdealers, especially when making a large purchasing decision. Sometimes you need 1:1 with people, so any input is appreciated!! hugWavenod

Seriously considering this for a PC monitor but I am worried about burn-in and annoying dimming issues. Think I might save a few bucks and go for a 50" QLED instead. Opinions welcome.

I'd try going to a B&W store and PM'ing there, if you haven't already.. Really strange though!

You think I could buy it online for in store first and price match for a slight refund?

I know this isn't the right forum, but if you were to give me the one line explanation, is a curved extra-wide 30-40 inch 2nd best to OLED computer monitor not better for gaming then C2 42 inch OLED?
Are you referencing a non-OLED monitor for gaming? I can tell you right now that curved screens have slightly better immersion but you just cannot compete with either the LG C2 42" or LG Ultragear. The Samsung G8 OLED has some issues which will get sorted out eventually and the Samsung QD-OLED has quality control problems that should be resolved when they release the new version that was just announced.

For more resources and a good place to ask OLED gamers directly check this subreddit:

Everyone is very friendly because these monitors put them in a good mood Smilie

I suppose that's doable, but would be a lot more convenient ( and the store may be more willing to PM prior to a sale.. imo ) to have it done right there, all in one transaction.

All I've had to do is pull up the Amazon listing on my phone, and show it to the cashier, and they ( or the mgr ) should put in an over ride, without any hassle!

I've never been asked if I have an Amazon Prime account or to be logged in.. Just showing the listing ( shipped and sold by Amazon ) has always been enough.

Hide desktop icons and taskbar.

Set wallpaper to a slideshow of a bunch of different 4k images.

Move your windows around occasionally when you have em open.

Don't play the same video game with a HUD overlay for like 500 straight hours.

Stick to that and you'll be fine.

My 55" CX has almost 9000 hours on it as my primary PC display- used for desktop PC, gaming, and moves/TV... 0 burn in.

it replaced a 55" C6 that also had none after years of the same use.

Yeah those might be a bit difficult for me. I spend most of the day trading and kind of particular about my window setup (which stay in the same place for many hours). I think you just confirmed that a LCD based display is probably the smarter choice for my use case. Thank you!

You can fix the dimming with software and burn-in protection is built into the C2.

If the QLED is a VA panel, good luck looking at the Windows clock on the taskbar lol. It's gonna be so faded and hard to see due to piss poor viewing angles XD.

You can actually do ultrawide on a non-ultrawide monitor, but you end up with black bars. The C2 can be used in ultrawide aspect ratio.

Funny how they can't sell the 48, but sell a ton of the 42.

I triedto price match for this tv this weekend when it was $850 on amazon and $950 on best buy and they denied it, said it was due to Prime being a fee based service and since you pay for that...

Can you order online and price match in store upon pickup? Chat agent said that in store would be my only way since Amazon requires you to log in(different excuse as to why they couldn't this time(.

These were just $899 at Costco with the 5 year warranty, a few days ago at least. Not quite the lowest price (the warranty rings up at about $60 or so before it is "discounted to free")
