It is a very thin laptop that weighs 2.29 lbs. Something has to give.
Would you choose Thinkpad X1 build quality but with 11th gen processor or slim 7i build but with 12th gen processor for non-power users?

I know 12th Gen is a lot better than 11th gen. But for a non power user, does it really matter? I am still rocking 8th Gen laptop with no slow down. Isn't the ThinkPad build worth it for the slower processor?
edit 1: Also, the Thinkpad 11th gen is reported to get around 6-8 hours battery life while reviews are reporting this gets 4 hours.
edit 2: pcmag review states about 8.5 hours for video rundown but again customer reviews on Costco are getting 4 hours. I am not sure if I trust some customer reviews. People jump to conclusion in the first day or so without giving Windows a chance to settle down after installing all of the updates.
