arent these optical switches to avoid that issue?
or are there issues with optical too?
Yes, these are hybrid optical switches.

I got this from a listing error in November and like it. Have it with a powerplay mat so the LED's are always on max and the batteries will never die (I was tired of my Razer not making it through a full day before dying...)
Good mouse though and no double-click issues.
This one has new switches that are supposed to prevent double clicking. I got mine on November, been using it daily for 8+ hours and havent had any issues yet. Probably still a bit early to say anything definitive but so far so good.
Between the double clicking issue on my old g502, a scroll wheel issue on my g pro wireless, and a volume wheel issue on my g710+ keyboard I think I'm finally off of the Logitech bandwagon next time I'm buying peripherals.

FYI. I just had to replace my powerplay mat at 2 years and 3 months old. Warranty is 2 years. Quickly replaced it because I love it but still just to give you a heads up
Yup, this is the link if you click the thin blue banner right above the mouse image (at least on mobile). It's not the most obvious thing. My Best Buy's employees didn't even know it was happening until they tried looking for it in their system.
It they made the switches optical I wonder which component did they build the planned obsolescence in. It used to be the rollers, then switches, now what? This has to be the hardest part of this racket, besides convincing almost everyone that a "reinvented" mouse is worth $100+. How long before it's "worth" $500? Not that long, just watch.

Yessir I'm sure a good chunk of their budget/man hours goes to developing their next planned obsolescence that will break down right after the warranty is expired. There is a sweet spot they aim for that is a couple months after warranty. If it's too close it'll raise suspicion so it really is an art/science to figuring these things out, sadly though for all the wrong reasons

To be fair tho, RMA was not a completely terrible experience with logitech as long as you have all the paperwork.
