Is the tax credit refundable?

In other words, can a retired person benefit from the tax credit?

My comment is probably getting buried. Another 20% drop is expected at end of this year. The price is not going back up. Hold till end of the year if you have no urgent need.

as for car insurance, I'm paying $95 a month through Geico, but thats with a robust policy
I've got 3 drivers on 2 cars (one is a teenager) and pay less than that.

Insurance for these vehicles is 27% higher and for good reason. That's going to eat up your gas savings.

I was waiting to pickup MYLR for last 1 month and pickup date is 04/25. Now, how do Tesla price adjustment? Do I need to cancel this order and create a new order to get the same car at reduced price? Any idea?

Not refundable.

There's other ways potentially to create tax liability (IRA to Roth conversion being a common one) but this is...not a great place for complex tax advice.

For something you already took delivery of? Nope. Nobody went back and wrote Tesla a check the last couple years after delivery when prices increased, so they won't do the opposite when they drop.

They'll adjust price for new buyers who ordered before the cut but haven't picked up yet though. Price at time of delivery is the price- in both directions.

See above. You'll get the new, lower, price.

tesla will price adjust since you have not picked up the vehicle.

All those who picked up yesterday or before are out of luck.

One thing I have to warn people about is cold weather performance. Below 30F the battery performance is horrible. I was getting 60-70% of my normal range and supercharging would go down 50%.

It's a gamble! Summer is around the corner and here in California gas prices just hit record high every year.

It's the 6th price drop this year alone, it's going to keep falling guys.

The margin was too high as they raised prices 15% in 2021, demand in China has been falling, higher rates making it harder for people to afford. Another rate hike coming in May, means it's a good idea to wait for more price drops soon.
