Yes. I have the smaller version and I cooked rice, baked bread, steam veggies, roast a whole chicken and was super happy with all of it.

edit: you can air fry in it but also it lets you steam crisp, which I think is a combination of both air frying and steaming at the same time (people can correct me if I'm wrong) which is great for meats because they don't lose the juice as quickly. I use it to steam crisp chicken wings and they come out divinely

edit #2: this XL version also has a smart thermometer which will automatically end cooking when meats reach the desired temperature. So you don't have to worry about times/temperature

Same price on Amazon. I just pulled the trigger. I already have an earlier model that I use daily. But my sous vide broke. And I'm excited about the proof button for bread! Plus, not having to deal with an extra lid will be nice.

That and much more. We use it for all of the above, cook multiple items in one pot, make yogurt and cook bread!

Edit: forgot, it does Sous Vide and dehydrating too. The steam and crisp function is great for crusty bread and crispy roasted chicken Smilie

We absolutely LOVE our "R2D2" ! Smilie Smiliedrool

we make bread on a very regular basis (like every 3 or 4 days).

Bought an extra stainless steel pot on amazon and designated it for yogurt only. We prefer the stainless steel pot, but the included ceramic coated pot works if you don't use any wood or stainless steel tools. With the stainless, we don't worry using our existing stainless steel whisk and such.

Love the fact that we don't have to store a second lid. That was the reason to buy the Ninja and not the Instant Pot.

I loved this until it stopped pressurizing. It threw a "No Pressure" message or steam kept escaping. Never had a problem with the previous Ninja model I had.

I contacted Ninja since I was under Warranty, and they refused to do anything until I took a picture of "The error". Since I could only show steam escaping from the top and sides and not the error message their Customer Service still refused to do anything. They then refused to escalate the case when I said I was uncomfortable trying to pressurize this defective cooker.
After that a Ninja "representative" from Brazil called me from a random number. Their accent and broken English made it difficult to communicate and they couldn't (wouldn't) set up a repair. Never did they once offer or communicate by email or even take it when I asked.

I was so angry at them forcing me to pressurize the cooker in it's defective state, not just doing an RMA , and being such trash service that I gave up, tossed it, and went back to the old model.

YMMV but if you look at this XL model reviews on Ninja's own website, you'll see many people with the same issue as me. They also removed my review from the website.

Ninja's customer service is so atrocious that I never want to experience it ever again. You've been warned on this model.

It doesn't look like this includes the smart thermometer.

Looks like you might be right. I thought all XL models include the thermometer now I'm confused.

Anyone compare this with ANOVA oven which does steam baking. I'm looking mostly for cooking chicken breast. I now use air fryer extensively but is this as good as a dedicated instant vortex air fryer when it comes to frying?

I've used both the Foodi and various Instant Pot cookers. For pressure cooking only, the Instant Pot Pro is superior (and less expensive) than this model. The Instant Pot pro has controlled steam release, which this model doesn't. It also has more pressure cooking settings than the Foodi. The Instant Pot also comes with a stainless steel inner pot standard whereas you have to buy one for the Foodi. These retail for ~30 dollars on Amazon.
