Would rather have $50 off the basic one. Solar is such a gimmick on these things. Thicker, heavier device, dimmer screen, all to add 5 minutes to battery on a 3 hour ride.

A lot of people question the solar aspect of the units.
You either ride enough that getting 40 minutes out of 3 hours means something or you don't ride that much and you probably don't need this high end of a unit with or without solar.

The solar charging is probably more useful for folks who are bikepacking/camping, and can leave the device sitting to charge when they arrive at destination/waypoints.
