This one has a very nice display, many of the cheapo systems do not.

This does not have a very nice display. 300 nits, and not gsync.

It's an average display. It's sufficient, but a "very nice display" would be brighter such as Lenovo Legion Pro's 500 nits. Clearly this is where HP decided to cut some costs relative to everything else that's in this model, which is pretty good.

By the way, I'm not getting the OP's price as spec'ed above, even with the coupon.

Seems like this one can last you a long time as far as future proofing goes. I think most people would be hooking this up to a bigger monitor anyways

Use the link in the OP that takes you directly to the product page and not try to spec it out yourself. It works

Based on quick googling, it looks like it'll perform similarly to a desktop rtx 3070. So maybe it'll run 4k with older titles or maybe with titles with DLSS 3.0, but i wouldn't get this for mainly 4k gaming.

You are right - doing it that way makes it work. Thanks!

Please fix Specs! It's TB3 not 4, and USB C rated at 10GB not 40.

Yes but beware, minecraft is still very blocky even with this GPU.

What's the point of getting a 4070 then?

Is the 5070 gonna outperform a 1660 super?

That's some highway robbery

It absolutely is not equal to a 3070...... Even a full wattage mobile 3080 is not equal to a desktop 3070.

Everyone is pretty disappointed by the 4060 and 4070 laptop cards and the performance is pretty low and about the same as the 3060 and 3070 with a little better efficiency.

The 4080 and 4090 are better compared to last generation and actually an improvement but very expensive.
