I mean it pushes the 4070 out of the equation at this price.

Currently if you only care about native performance without ray tracing or the increased power draw, there is no better card at this price point

If you look at benchmarks, the 6950 XT is actually about par with the 4070 in ray tracing. The only real downside is higher energy draw and size... but you also get 16GB vs 12GB which should help the 6950 XT age a bit better.

Upgrade 3080 10gb to this? For ultrawide 1440p or 4k?

I don't care about ray tracing

These 6950XTs and 7900XTs are just about at my price. If this came with a (new release) game that I wanted to play, I think it would be a buy for me.

Much better alternative than the 4070 if the higher power draw and bigger card isn't a factor for you. Beats 4070 in raster and matches it in RT.

Ugh 328mm is probably going to be a problem for my case that supposedly accepts up to 330mm.

This card is on par, if not really close to the 7900xt (which is 200$ more)

I know its more vram, but not enough of an increase in performance imo. Maybe 10-15% relatively.

I have a 6950 and game at 3440 and its great, at 4k you will probably want to get a 7900 or 4080, you could use this at 4k but it would really be pushing it in some games.

Tempting but it uses more power than the newer gen. It also require 3 PCIe cables. RT performance is going to be worst than Nvidia and the new AMD 7900XT. For creative use, it also fall way behind Nvidia. It depends on your use case.

Can this be undervolted easily? Or does it have an undervolted BIOS switch?

According to Tom's Hardware, it was about 10-25% faster than the 10GB 3080 at launch. Drivers have continued to improve since then, so it may actually be better than that now. In raster performance they had it on par with a 3090 and sometimes close to the 3090ti. Until you turn on ray tracing, of course.

At this price point nothing comes close to the performance, unless you believe that DLSS3 Frame Generation is going to become ubiquitous in the next couple months.
