I paid $155 for mine at Amazon so this is a little better.
Now if they would get the price under $275 for a 4TB it would still be more than I want to pay, but I'm in. We really need 4TB at $200. I highly doubt the cost to mfg and market varies much between all the models (1TB, 2TB, 4TB) with the only difference being the nand of course, which is not in short supply.
Shortages with these guys are almost always artificial (manufactured scarcity). They could probably wipe out their own hard drive business over night (profitably) if they wanted, but they obviously can't do that... yet...

Probably previously was a price mistake. this one got DRAM and the-DRAM version never got under 125 (normally). So I hit the shot, and got myself one now.
I don't know whether I should feel bad that I was mistaken or that I missed this deal. Damn, should have joined Slickdeals earlier, I joined at the start of April.

Yikes, not shipping till May 31. But then again, I don't need this right away, so I'll buy and lock in the price now, and if it gets cheaper in the meantime, I'll cancel this one and buy it again.

Got one from Amazon now. Like you said, will lock the price and if anything cheaper comes out, I'll cancel. Better than dealing with newegg.
Actually it was…. It was an error and Amazon actually honored just one of my purchases out of the two I had tried to order. So technically you could have gotten "one" at $109, but it was an error

I also placed an order with Amazon. Hopefully it ships before the end of May. I am building a new PC next week. I will sub in a lower end NVMe to get the build going and somehow figure out a way to clone it to the WD when it arrives.

I doubt that will happen very soon with a dram drive. I hoping for the same though, my girl needs a new boot drive. She is still on a 500gb rgb adata m.2 Gen 3 with a 12tb ssd/hdd exos x18 12tb drive from serverpartdeals for 105$ which performs great but with new games needed faster drives I really want her to get at least 2tb. If I can find gen 4 for $100 with dram I'm grabbing it. Anyone know of any deals?

Other than the $110 SN850x "deal" and the $140 Samsung 990 Pro deals, nothing much better.
Crappy 4TBs have already reached $200 and below. I just don't want to buy them. Goals.....
1) No QLC
2) Nothing from china, and especially no QLC from china (double dog turd)
