I bought this for $35. It's not worth more than $15. You have one combo throughout the whole game. Guns are only there as support. It's very much melee focused. It's also super freaking easy. You just hold one direction to dodge the first attack (it doesn't even have to be the correct direction), then hold the opposite direction for the second attack, then do the same for the third attack and then you get your turn to hit. It's that same formula for every enemy (except the end boss and the enemy that crawls around fast) during the whole game. There are only a few different enemy types. You can shoot a critical point on the enemy during your combo if you want. Unless you're just terrible at games, it's really hard to ever get hit. It's a very pretty game, though. I'll give it that. I'd give this a 5/10. It's Dead Space-like, but Dead Space is significantly better. This also isn't scary at all. There's all this build up, like you're about to get a jump scare, and then they show you an enemy way up ahead, so as not to actually scare you. It's really lame.

Both PS5 and Xbox series X version ran identical. It was the PC version that had a lot of problems.

They're finally going to add the ability to skip cutscenes! What a time to be alive.

Best advice here is to wait on this game.

Pretty weak game, even for fans of survival horror. I had a lot more fun playing the Dead Space remake, even though I've played through the original at least 3 times. Something just feels off and clunky with the Callisto controls, and most of the locale felt like rehashed stages from Dead Space

The Xbox version had a lot of problems at launch, get the PS5 version instead for the best experience.
Have the problems at launch been fixed?

I got this game and dead island 2 from a video card bundle code I bought off ebay for $30, and even at $15, I really don't think the game is worth it. I struggled with remembering anything that stood out the day after beating it. It looks good at first, then you end up in a lot of dull hallways.

GameStop also has this game for $30 (for the XSX/PS5 versions) and $20 (for the XB1/PS4 versions).

To provide a counter point, i paid $35 for this on PS5 and, after playing through it, thought that was fair. Solid 7/10 for me. High production values with an ok if contrived story. Combat a bit clunky, but still acceptable to me. Ymmv of course Smilie
