According to many reviews, after firmware update on original Z6, the focusing performance between Z6 and Z6 II is very close. In other words, the advantage of dual processer on Z6II is not very noticeable in terms of focusing.
If 4K 60 Hz video and dual card are not that important for you, then it seems a better deal to buy a Z6 instead of Z6II
Nikon will be announcing at least one new camera on May 10th. You may want to wait and see their new offering as this camera is over 2 years old and in the features race, lags behind the Sony A7 IV, the Canon R6 Mk II and the Panasonic S5 Mark II. Image quality on the Z6 II is great though and the ergonomics of this camera are top-knotch.
Can anyone update me whats happened to camera tech so far? I know everyones going mirrorless now. I have had me d600 for quite some time. Much appreciated!

Don't trust those reviews. I have both versions and the II focuses better. I don't think they test continuous tracking because you'll get many more keeper tracking with Z6ii even though the EVF view will look the same.
