There are SO many deals and combo kits I never can tell if it good. This includes 4.0 battery which is good and two tools (don't count the light).

Impact driver is not a drill. I guess you could use it as a drill, but it's not the same. Hence, buy the kit if you need the stuff that come in it. And most homeowners do need those at some point.

This seems like a good deal with 4.0 battery? I do not have these tools so works for me. Thoughts?

Personally if you are handy doing house work, these tools will be good enough. Their line of products goes on sale at Home depot all the time. I started with just a few things and I have probably 10 tools now that I use every now and then. It has it's values. Look at all the other threads of tools that goes on sale. They are well worth it.

To be honest most deals are good. Say about $30ish for a tool and maybe add in a battery. So depends on if you use it a lot to be worth it. I had other brand of tools, but lots of my older tools were corded, sometimes these combo will get me cordless of the same tools.

I would NEVER buy Ryobi tools at full price. I have had a couple Ryobi tools die on me, but I bought a home that needed a lot of work. Otherwise, this is a fine deal (I'm looking for a circular saw right now).

Spring Black Friday? What the hell? Can someone explain how this happened? It should be called Spring White Friday.

I have all of these tools.

I use the impact driver a lot. It's not the best screwdriver for every situation, but it's definitely the fastest.

I used to use the reciprocating saw as a poor-man's chainsaw to trim trees and cut down some bushes/trees. It's not going to cut down a decades old maple tree, but it worked great for the scrubby trees and bushes I had in my yard in Texas.

I rarely use the light. I suppose it might be useful since you can rotate it to shine in a specific place, but it's not that bright and there are a lot of other flashlights out there.

New homeowner here. And not really a handyman. Does this impact drill replace my cordless Ryobi drill? Do you think I can still return the cordless drill at Home Depot that was bought like 6 months ago? Trying to get this set lol.

Both are different drill and have their uses. Why not keep both? Not sure if you can return something that was 6 months ago. Or put it up on C-list if you really don't want it.

I own a bunch of Ryobi 18V tools - the ones that still work anyhow...These tools are junk. I had the circular saw that I used 3 times break - the bearing went out, the reciprocating saw - the saw locks up randomly and the motor squeals as it is stripping out the gears. I used that tool maybe 5 times. I also had a jigsaw - the brushless one - and the collet broke - and I could not remove the blade. I tried everything and ended up taking the saw apart to see what was up - and a bunch of springs and other parts were falling out everywhere. I ended throwing the saw away - the same with the other ones that broke on me. Do not waste your money on Ryobi, I am a regular homeowner that did not use them for my job or anything - lightly used and they broke - total junk. I switched last year to Kobalt 24V Max tools and they are really great. The quality is night and day..

Because I'm cheap that's why I'm here lol. If the impact can replace the cheap $60 Ryobi starter drill with the slow battery charger then of course I'll bite.

You should look the deals from DTO that were just posted today, there are some pretty good deals for ryobi or ridgid rn

You'll have to pay a shipping fee if you aren't located close to a retail store.

A higher quality impact will have a drill mode, and can functionally replace a conventional drill for home applications. That'd be the move.
