I do recommend cancelling the auto-renewal right away. This is about the price at which I grab these on top of my child's existing National Geographic Kids subscription.

Good luck!
Jon
Did this deal before for my daughter. I'm really disappointed in the quality of these "magazines". They're probably worth the price, but lower your expectations.

Anyone know what the frequency of this magazine is? Weekly? Monthly? Every other month?

All four in the OP are 1 issue per month, so essentially $7 for 6 issues

Monthly - and truly that - so 12 issues per year (plenty of other magazines get away with 10/year, for example).

Highlights isn't my favorite by a stretch, but is pretty OK for a certain age/interest level. My go-to for kids continues to be National Geographic Kids. Also, if your kid is really sports-obsessed I could suggest Sports Illustrated Kids.

Good luck!

We love National Geographic Kids. My daughter loves the cards that come with them.

Any millennials here please tell me how this compares to the Highlights Magazine that I grew up with. I remember reading these while at the dentist and pediatrician offices (where it had tons and tons of subscription cards that would fall out, lol). Got stencils as my free gift, and especially enjoyed finding "whats wrong" on the back cover, as well as reading Goofus and Gallant.

I also never heard of High Five, but id like to give it a shot for my 3yo. Any thoughts? TIA!

Does anybody know approximately how many pages are in each magazine?

Also. how much is a National Geographic Kids subscription?

How are we supposed to know which ones you "grew up with"? (I mean. what years/decade?)

And now that you've reminded me — I for sure do still remember all those damn subscription cards that'd fall out as soon as you touched the magazine, LOL

My 7 year old enjoys these. Still have 3 magazines left and they are already asking me to renew. They always run promos so will let expire and start back up a month later.

Prob starting mid 80s. I read my sister's old issues when I was really little and got it myself around 3rd grade and read it until maybe `93.

My other fav periodicals were Free Stuff for Kids, and the obvi GOAT by 2nd grade... Nintendo Power 🤣

I dropped Highlights because of their shady fine print marketing schemes.
