I got this very card from Newegg for $370 (Black Friday sale). It has been great so far. Depending on the game, of course, it trades blows with RX 3070 and the RX 3070 TI.

My hearing isn't the best so YMMV, but I've never noticed any sound from the card other than expected fan noise.

From what I can tell if you hear coil whine, you're always going to. I personally have never heard it in the 20+ years I've been playing with computers. Take that as you will.

Great card, I have it in my Steam OS console PC paired with a 5700x and I love it. With FSR2, I can play stuff like Hitman 3 at 4K/60 pretty easily, and if not, flawless at 2k.

I've never heard coil whine my entire life until I tried some of the newer GPUs (40 series is BAD about this), a lot of people just assume it's the fan.

Holding out until I see $400 on the 3080, will not budge! My 2070 Super will be fine until this day comes
So you're going to wait how long to replace a GPU released on July 9, 2019 with a GPU released on September 17, 2020?

You should consider a better GPU to wait for, after all the waiting you're dedicating to this revolutionary upgrade of 14 months.

You are way better at controlling your spending than I am. Kudos to you for being so well-disciplined!

My motherboard only supports PCI Express 3.0 and I am running RX-580. Is it worth to upgrade to this card using the same motherboard, or I have to get new motherboard supporting PCI Express 4.0?

Then why are you looking at an AMD Radeon deal thread if you're set on buying Nvidia?

Good luck nonetheless.
