You can use that and transfer some apps to your microsd. A lot of apps are not transferable but my biggest app (kodi) is so that resolved my storage issues. Good luck!

As far as the 8gb storage (4gb free), that will always be a problem. I have a cube to overcome the issue (16gb 12 free after boot up.). With the latest OS you can format a key drive as "expandable storage" for apps (some are finicky on expanded storage) and I gave up on that. I have had the ONN, Tivo, Fires sticks of all flavors as well as Pendants and Boxes. 8gb (4 free) is not enough on any of those devices when you need 1gb free at all times for updates ect.. .
Expanded (adoptable) storage is a pain in the arse. You cant read the storage on your PC, so you cant park files on it. You will need a home NAS and keep file sizes on the stick to under 1tb or so on good days. If I needed a new device and you could still get a cube gen 2 for $40 from woot, I would go that way just for the extra 8gb. A 4gb+ raspberry pi with a 128gb+ sd card, makes that a option too. Your not going to run out with a 128-256gb card. The linage builds work ok.
