Fyi, bamboo is not ideal for cutting boards. They're pretty hard so they can dull your knives compared to wood cutting boards like maple or teak.

I don't know about the cutting board but I do have a smart oven, the BOV900 model I believe, from a couple of years ago and I can not more highly recommend a good countertop oven as a kitchen appliance. I use mine constantly. I hardly ever use my wall oven. Sorry for thread jacking but wanted to put in my plug for these appliances. I have a calphlon one I have to my daughter and it works really well too, and was a lot cheaper than the Breville.

I mean, ok, but there are many other benefits, too, so I'd say it's a wash. I prefer bamboo, but to each their own.

Aw hell, why not. Just bought the Smart Oven Pro and I need a cutting board anyway. This might even be a good way to stack some things on top of the oven without them getting lava hot.

Using it in its intended use case will dry out the wood, if you don't use mineral oil or some other compound to condition it. Same applies in general for regular usage, and it'll crack/warp if you dishwash it.

I use the top of my Breville Smart Oven for the air fryer rack, other misc racks, and to warm plates, lots of uses... seems like a cutting board is the least of them, would have to move it to warm plates, etc, the top of the oven gets fairly warm during baking, air frying etc, seems like it would not be good place for cutting board.

I have this and I just use it to put food such as fruit and bags of chips and stuff on top of it just to keep my counters clear. It has silicone feet. The board doesn't get hot at all.
