I ran out and bought this tv a few minutes before closing. So far so good. I usually like to stick with 120hz, but this is going in my bedroom. I have 3 Best buy stores near me and only one had in stock, but shipping was available.

My 50" crapped out a month ago. Was waiting on sale for 70" but I might have to bite on this!

Edit: I hate that Best Buy has this bad practice to show their customers things that are SOLD OUT and discontinued on their website! This is a terrible way to Easter you customers time!

Check out rtings site. Insignia blacks and contrast are not great. Also it says it's not that bright, best for a medium lit room. Samsung has better blacks/contrast. I personally like the Samsung 7000 (I have the 50") because they have the Xbox game pass app for games that have cloud streaming available if you have game pass. But, the insignia at $300 is like $150 less than the Samsung.

I bought this exact model a couple of years ago, for 299 dollars on Black Friday Sale. And it was receiving mixed reviews, back then. Then I guess firmware updates came out, and then it was smooth sailing for many of us. Now it's a number of years later, and it still works great for 299 dollars with free shipping (this was a few years back ). Hopefully you can get it with free shipping. Good luck. I watch this hdtv head on, at eye level. I sit back around 10-12 feet back from tv.
