How are they determining "no more than five years old" on trade-ins? Are they looking at manufactured date? What if I bought a 2017 model laptop new in 2019, would that qualify?

Saddens me that this only supports 16gb of ram. Looking to replace my travel laptop and Dell seems to have done away with having a numeric keypad on their Inspiron line for anything new, so this deal got me super excited. Being stuck at 16gb ram kills it for me, unfortunately. Everything else was looking awesome.

I would assume it is based on the manufactured date. That's technically how old it is and how old the tech inside of it is.

Can we stop with posting the Costco trade-in offer on the title which misleads people into thinking the laptop is cheaper than it is?

There are so few people who would have a laptop that qualifies AND they would want to part with, that it becomes irrelevant.

1. This laptop is on sale for $650, which is $200 off the regular price.

2. If you've got a qualifying trade-in (basically, any undamaged laptop less than five years old), then you can additionally get a rebate in the form of a $200 Costco Card.
