I hate these bottles, because they leak so much. But at the same time, these are the only bottles I used, so I'm not sure if that's normal.

It's a pain to wash but worth it! Love these bottles.

After trying a dozen different kinds of bottles, I recommend these.

The nipples are some of the best consistently slow flow nipples. Plenty of "slow flow" nipples are not actually slow, or are wildly inconsistent. There are a few studies on this with actual data.

They're also compatible with Medela, Evenflo, etc. We use Evenflo bottles since they're glass (easier to clean and safer for food).

The anti-colic vent is optional. We found we don't need it, so it's less to wash.

They have an excellent customer service team. I bought pink and purple 8 oz bottles that do leak, no matter what I do. The 4 oz bottles didn't leak. For some reason I put the tops from the 4oz bottles and it solves the problem, nonetheless they are sending out 2 other kinds of bottles for me to try then they will do a complete replacement! This is the first time I've experienced their bottles leaking & I have 5 kids now. Besides this issue, I would still continue to purchase their products & recommend them too!

These are options+ model, never had one leak. The original Dr Brown bottles are a different story, leaked all the time, I trashed it after a week.

We had to move to Dr. Brown's wide mouth bottles because the shape is better for the baby or something...but I recommend anyway. Dr. Brown's stuff is great. As someone above put it, pain in the butt to wash because there are numerous parts and you need a small pipe cleaner (provided) to clean some of the smaller openings.

We've been using this exclusively for our 6 week old baby. As others said, many parts to clean, but they work great for baby and we've had any leaks that weren't due to user error in assembly.

Regarding cleaning, we rarely need to pull out the pipe cleaner - the key is to thoroughly rinse right after use, especially blasting the little green insert to flush those narrow channels with a 90 degree bend inside.

These are essential tools of the trade, esp for new parents.

Currently using them with my second one who is 4mo old. The older blue ones did occasionally leak. Customer service is very good (similar to OXO) and will ship out whatever replacement stuff they got (which unfortunately wasn't much for the blue options bottles due to their sheer age and phaseout)

I recommend the narrow mouth bottles all the way (including when you move to 8oz bottles) because of the shape of the nipple on the widemouth might be too big for your little one...unless you want to try chubby-bunnying the whole thing into his/her mouth??!?

Combined with the usual bottle cleaner (mentioned OXO brand earlier because they also replace these for free when they get too dirty!) And some sort of good vacuum bottle to keep 107 degree water through the night (I use an old Zojirushi 20oz bottle for this), and you'll save a lot of headache and get a lot of sleep back through the night.

I think my little one just woke up (8am as I'm typing this)! Good luck everyone!

These are great. Pro tip: if your baby is choking a lot while drinking, check for tongue or lip tie. We didn't know our first had that until several months in. She had the snip procedure and it was night and day.

The vent system preserves nutrients!? How do other bottles not preserve nutrients?

I want the venting, but I don't need the bubbles to be guided all the way to the top. I figure the opaque green thing is for venting and the transparent green thing is to take the bubbles to the top. Is that right? Can someone explain to me why I get leaking if I only use the opaque green thing? Is it because air and milk can slide by each other this way, but when the transparent green thing is on, they can't?

Recommend these. Used them for my older child. They are durable and do not leak. Dr Browns also make these in glass which we are using for our younger child. Highly recommend those. Very durable. Amazon currently has an offer on both the 4 Oz and 9 Oz bottle packs.
