I've had this refrigerator for a year. There is an issue with the design of freezer compartment. The drawer on the bottom extends further out then the rest of the selves. On top of the drawer is thin non-tempered glass. We had a piece of frozen meat slip off the upper shelf and it crashed thru that glass above the bottom drawer. It was a mess to clean up the shards of glass. This is not covered by the warranty. I didn't want to replace with the same cheap glass. Bought a sheet of 1/4" PVC plastic, and cut it to size.

Appliance repair has been my business for almost two decades. LG makes some good appliances just NOT refrigerators. Even with new r600 refrigerant their compressors are still failing at an alarming rate.

This this this^. Mine failed at the 6 year mark (warranty was 5 years for labor, 10 years for the part). Even when I wanted to get someone to fix it, no one would (from LGs own list of independent repairers) and LG doesn't have any techs here in the US. When I told LG this, they told me to just buy a new fridge. Went with GE for my next fridge because at least if something goes wrong, they'll send someone to try and fix it.

This spec messed me up big time. It's the smaller number closed, opened it needs the space of the bigger one. I have two of these fridges. got one white one last year for 1200 and the stainless with craft ice for 1450 from home Depot.

900 is a great deal on this from Costco. it's super big inside

Stay away from any Samsung or LG appliance. People I know that have either one always have the same issues. I have GE FOR 12 years and and only my microwave has stopped working and replaced with another GE.

I bought this Whirlpool from Costco February 2022. https://www.costco.com/Whirlpool-...76560.html I'm waiting for Costco Concierge Service to call me back to schedule a repair (everything thawed and it won't cool). This is after replacing a Samsung that failed after 6 years. I've got an apartment Frigidaire that's leaking from the bottom after about 5 or six years. These days, it feels like ANY brand is a crapshoot as far as reliability.
