I've had this refrigerator for a year. There is an issue with the design of freezer compartment. The drawer on the bottom extends further out then the rest of the selves. On top of the drawer is thin non-tempered glass. We had a piece of frozen meat slip off the upper shelf and it crashed thru that glass above the bottom drawer. It was a mess to clean up the shards of glass. This is not covered by the warranty. I didn't want to replace with the same cheap glass. Bought a sheet of 1/4" PVC plastic, and cut it to size.

Appliance repair has been my business for almost two decades. LG makes some good appliances just NOT refrigerators. Even with new r600 refrigerant their compressors are still failing at an alarming rate.

LG - Compressors stink. Learn from my mistake. I'll never buy LG or Samsung again.

It's funny as I have a Kenmore fridge in our vacation rental. It was there when we bought the house 6 years ago.

It is made by LG and it just chugs along. The ice make went out. It was freezing fine but the tray dump stopped working.

I just bought a new assembly for 90 bucks and one YouTube video and 45 minutes later it was fixed.

Other than that it has worked like a champ.

The measurements are under the specs under the Product Details. Width is 35 7/8" Hight to top of Case is 68 7/8th and Height to Top of Hinge 70 1/2" Depth with Handles 33 1/2"
I think the confusion here is coming from 2 different specs listed on Costco.com.

App says 33.5 in. × 28.88 in. x
70.5 in. (WxDxH) but it also says in a different area the specs you list.

This exact thing happened to me. After it broke, I left it uncovered. I can now reach into the bottom freezer basket/drawer without pulling it out also can stack food up higher. New feature unlocked. 🤣

Save yourself headache and avoid LG. failure after failure on the linear compressor models. Just go search google . Repaired 3 times. Was covered by LG once. Junk!

These are my measurements with 1/16in margin of error.

D (front to the back) - 33 1/8 in. with the doors installed (handles are integrated into the doors. front is pretty much flushed except the indented/integrated "door handles"). account for power cord sticking out behind. also need to leave a few inches from the wall for water supply and ventilation anyways.

W (left to right) - 35 7/8 in.

H (floor to top) - 70 1/4 in. from the floor to the top of the hinge

This fridge cannot have a wall right up against the unit. The doors will need to pivot out when opening. My freezer door is right up again a wall and can open about 90 degrees.

LG sucks I had a fridge fail that I spent $3.5k on, there compressors are terrible but some of there refrigerators come with 5 year warranty with parts and labor. So as long as you get LG just don't go expensive, anything under $2k is a good deal especially with 5yr parts and labor warranty just make sure this one has it. If this one does $1k fridge is super cheap. Also don't be an idiot like me and go black stainless, much harder and more expensive to replace and match

https://www.lg.com/us/support/pro...6S.ASTCNA0

Scroll down to warranty comes with 5yrs on sealed system including compressor, a steal for $900 imo

I also think there new compressors are better, all the bad reviews came from older compressors which had a lot of failure. They have redesigned them to fail after 5 years now lol

What brand of washing machine would you recommend if you don't mind me asking? I purchased a Maytag washer recently and already had to replace the U.I. Board and main control board. Would've been almost a grand to repair, but luckily I found a donor machine on Craigslist.

I actually purchased the one at Lowe's for $950 yesterday and canceled it to buy this one. I was a little sad because this one is listed as 2 inches thinner which would leave too much space on either side. When I saw the wider specs I figured the other specs were wrong. The model numbers are the same except the last letter is different.

Not sure why everyone is hating on Samsung and LG. I personally have pretty good experience with them. My Samsung fridge is going on 13th year. Only had 1 repair (ice flap wouldn't close, replaced it myself for ~50 dollars). Samsung dryer is also on 13th year with 1 repair (ribbed belt somehow got damaged and feel out from tensioner. Replaced the belt myself for ~10 dollars). However my Samsung front loader washer died in 8 years (drum shaft cracked/snapped off). My brothers LG fridge is 8-9 years in without any repairs.

This is true but they have a 10 year warranty. My compressor went out after 4 years. I made an appointment for repair through the app and they were there the next day and changed out the compressor within the hour. Works great now

Fridges are the only thing I buy domestic. Getting foreign appliance repair manuals is impossible.
