Depends. Would you rather deal with ice maker problems or compressor problems?

I have the 3 door version of this fridge, for about 6 months now. My wife and I love it. Space is great, I love the water pitcher (you always have cold water on hand), and the 2 different types of ice in trays are awesome. Holds temp infinitely better than our old fridge. I have it set to 34 degrees and I've only had 1 thing freeze on me (lettuce right next to the vent at the top).

This is a great deal, I've been very happy with ours. The only issue is minor rattling noises and such.

I purchased the allstate warranty (unfortunately Citi warranty isn't available anymore), haven't had to use it so fingers crossed.

I'm in the market for a refrigerator, but I'm tired of researching and hearing about everyone's issues with these two brands.
The more I research, the more questions I get.
Although, I have to say, the least amount of problems I hear are from owners of Bosch.
But at almost 4k, they are way too pricey.
Anyway, I'll keep researching…

Given all of the issues I've had with my current 2019 FD Samsung fridge, you'd have to pay ME to take one of these.

Edit: Icemaker + Flex zone drawer issues.

My poos are more bespoke than this mass produced fridge.

Each is uniquely based on the contents of my stomach, etc.

Lg French door is a better deal. No ice and water through the door= no deal.
I personally have this fridge and had to think and hard about it.

Water - We have an RO system in Los Angeles, so we drink out of that anyways, rather than fridge, no big deal for our family.
Ice - My last, I'll say, Samsung fridge, ice maker kept freezing over and failing at the door, I prefer it on the inside, less moving parts and prone to failure. I grab ice once a day in my Artic Mug and it's enough for all day (I don't wfh).

Hopefully my comments helps someone make an informed decision. I love the design and yes, it's shallow but it's a big part of our kitchen / dining area, so it was important to us.

The amount of issues our family has had with Samsung refrigerators is atrocious.
Out of 4 refrigerators all had ice maker problems, 2 had drawer issues, one had
compressor go out completely. I would never buy a Samsung again even if you did

I've actually never had a problem with this exact fridge. We thought the auto fill pitcher was stupid at first but we use it every meal, it's nice to have a pitcher of water ready at the dinner table rather than constantly have to get up

That's not a deal breaker for me, but being a Samsung is. I've had nothing but trouble with them. LG has been hit and miss.

I have been doing research on this. Fridge repair men highly recommend staying away from ice makers inside the fridge. They last longer and perform better when they are inside the freezer.

Any know, how long I can defer the installation. I am looking for getting in June end. But I see Costco allows only 2 weeks. Is there way to extend ?

Which brands have them in the freezer?
