Pretty good DRAM-Less PCIe 4.0 drive. Personally, I'd stick with a MP34 ($46) for general use applications.

I think it's because a drive with dram does not have to use hmb, thus taking away from the memory on the computer.

Oh for some reason I thought the MP34 did not have dram also thought this one did have dram...according to their website.

So they both have dram.

I thought this drive was supposed to have dram. The Z44L is dramless.

Based on what I read, this 2 TB variant of this drive is faster (in the 5,000 mb read and write plus it has DRAM). The older 1 TB variant is slower but I can't find whether it is DRAM-less or not. Based on the matching higher speed of the 2 TB variant, it is safe to assume that this drive has DRAM.

Honestly, not sure if it matters whether DRAM or DRAM-less but the review is amazing for price point and TBW. another to not is that this drive, when pairing with AMD like in the reviews, it exceeds its advertising speed in real world applications. That's a positive in my book.
