Looks like there are some other Fiskars items on sale as well. Good find, I picked up these:

This is a great tool. I sprung for the longer one (maybe 10 or 12 feet) last year and love it.

I bought a manual pole saw from amazon and it works great.

Has fiberglass poles and extentions.

I would say this serves a different purpose than a pole saw. Pole saws are good for larger branches (but can be used on small ones too) that are higher up and not crowded (you can easily get to the branch and have space for sawing). This pruner is good for smaller branches and offers greater precision in tighter spaces than a pole saw. Their just different tools designed for different purposes, albeit a bit of overlapping functionality.

i have a longer sun joe electric saw but its a bit of work to use with the chain alignment, clean up, oil filling, etc so this will be handy when im doing light work.

Many pole saws have a pruning blade opposite the cutting blade. If it's a tight area just remove cutting blade. Mine has about a 15' reach when fully extended.

Love Fiskars and their customer support. Will always buy their brand whenever possible because of their lifetime warranties. I had one of their pruners and it broke and they sent me new one free.

Same for a branch cutter. Their warranty is beyond everyone else.

And their tools are all top quality and distinctive orange color.

The polesaw version is better for anything that would even normally require a ladder. The pruning blade works on shorter trees but anything slightly taller the polesaw works great.

I try to do the same every year for the past 8 years or so and never have seen them get clearanced. I have no idea how they get rid of them at the end of the season.

Not exactly must buy priced, but I think this may be of interest to some. I think this basket can be added to make it a fruit picker. Fiskars 340170-1001 Fruit Picker Basket, Black https://a.co/d/70ZfRO5
