This is a great little amp per Randy The Cheap Audio Guy, whom I trust. It's got a TI chip. I've seen it around this price with a coupon, but I've never seen it for less and it's usually more. I got the AIYIMO A07 instead which has the same chip and sounds great.

No power supply and no aluminum case.
I use this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QMLF...ct_details. More juice and still cheaper. Of course some diy is required..

That is a reasonable price. It has been $60-65 on Amazon since January.

I've had one in my cart, hoping to buy another at $55, like I did in December.

The AIYIMA A07 doesn't have bass or treble knobs, but you can use the 3.5mm input as an output to your sub if you want. I don't think you can do that one the one from this listing. That makes the A07 worth the $5-10 more IMO.
Does that 3.5mm output gets controlled by the volume knob? I have a powered sub and that the biggest gripe I have, to avoid I have to use speaker level outputs.

Even if this isn't bad, it's not what I'd call good. If you need some kind of interim solution, or there's some specific place that needs a small amp, it's fine, but this is not something you put in your main stereo and keep for a decade. You swap it for something better when you get the cash, and then this goes in a box in the garage.

I'm using it for my Desktop PC and it's killer for that purpose. Much better than getting computer speakers.

I'd look at the BT20A Pro or Aiyima A07 Pro. Has tone controls and pre-out/line-out for your sub

Such a bummer these don't have a subwoofer line output for a nice 2.1 setup.

I have an A07 and no, the volume knob does not control the 3.5mm jack. Same situation, I ended up using high level speaker inputs for the sub.

That's better build quality than the amp. I've seen guys use older PC, Xbox, and scooter power supplies. If you really want to get creative, wire a Brazil full Hz car amp with a power supply. The Taramps are the real deal.

Would this be a huge upgrade from my Lepai LP-2020TI? Currently powering some Dayton Audio B652's, and I'm a total noob when it comes to amps. Only problem i got with my Lepai atm is that at a certain volume, the sound starts crackling. I tested it with my friends A/V receiver and somehow it doesn't crackle. Wonder if this amp can be better.

I see it's up to 150W @ 8 ohms if you buy the upgraded power supply. What are the specs if you stick with the power supply that is included?

With the included power supply brick, real world tests are closer to 25 watts to 40 watts x 2 channels, 8 ohms, 40-20,000Hz, at 1% THD. And even then, these will overheat if pushed too long. You're always better off with an older receiver. You just give up the small form factor. Find some very efficient 8 ohm speakers and don't expect party level output for hours, and you'll be fine. You can purchase a larger power supply brick and get more power, but you need to keep the unit cool.
100% Agree with this. 10% THD? This amp is garbage, unless you under-use it, and then what's the point of the high amplification specs?

Gah, this or the Schiit Rekkr. The price is hard to beat on this!

I agree randy loves this thing

Actually, the review here: https://www.amazon.com/Schiit-Rek...merReviews

I am driving the original JBL Control 1 speakers with this amp and I must say, it sounds very wide and 3D like. My first amp was the Fosi TDA7498E class D amp, but Rekkr blows Fosi away in near field setup listening. With coffee table and chair surround by plants, my wife and I enjoy peaceful listening like Brian Eno, Herold Budd, or Joep Beving type of music. Very relaxing sound.

I love the sound from my Fosi, but the speakers pop when I turn it on and off - anyone know why? Is it a faulty unit?
