Thank you for the heads-up on this! Great dog food and it's actually both in-stock AND a price that doesn't absolutely suck horribly.

Got this about 2 weeks ago. Thanks. It used to be $16 a bag. Now $26. This inflation is crazy.

I have no proof of this being the case here, but I suspect the word 'inflation' is being used even when companies have decided to use 'inflation' as an excuse to raise prices, even though their supply chain has normalized, and their costs have gone back down (from the Covid/post/Covid crunch).

Just a hunch.

Just look at the market for cars, they're collectively limiting the supply to surge demand and keep the prices inflated and stable

There're a million dog food brands but I believe only a handful of companies own them all.

Also, if they're publicly traded, they're under immense pressure to meet those quarterly eps.

There's a lot of monkey business going around and I'm just tryna feed "my dawg"

Unbridled capitalism? You don't say... 😛

Same as about every industry... Here's eggs.

Some weren't affected, and they rode the wave, and once prices increase, they are going to be purposely resistant to bringing prices back down. They'll never go back down to what they were.

https://www.newsweek.com/egg-prod...ed-1791410

"Price increases for eggs have been linked to a combination of increased costs of fuel, feed, and packing following the pandemic years, as well as a global bird flu epidemic that has killed millions of birds in the U.S. alone. Cal-Maine Foods said that none of its birds, at its own facilities or contracted ones, tested positive for avian flu."

Cats, trucks, meat, dog food, eggs, laser printers, etc etc. No way to tell what's real vs artificial price hikes w/o knowing margins and their input costs. And of course they know that we don't know this. Big Grin
