Just a heads up to everyone that Seagate's exclusive deal with Microsoft has ended and Western Digital will soon be releasing expansion cards for the Xbox Series consoles.

Hopefully this will lead to even greater price cuts in the near future.
With this card, you can play games directly from it
$99 is the right price. Will wait or never ever buy.

Getting better, but still too high for 1TB. The 2TB should be $200 or less.

Sweet only about triple the price of nvme offerings that completely outperform the card module.

I love proprietary implementations 🤮

With this card can you play games from it or do they have to be moved directly onto the Xbox hard drive? Are there other cards that will work with it?

Yes you can play games from it and series S and X games have to be run from it or internal storage with a few exceptions. I have the 1Tb of this and a 8Tb external WD easy store so I just shuffle the series S/X game between them as needed.

Are you comparing 4" NVMEs to the 1" drives the XBOX uses?
Do you think there's anything unique about the underlying module? It's always artificially inflated based on the exclusive deal, the only thing you are paying extra for is profit margin.
