I got the 165 gallon last summer and have been very happy with it! It is very sturdy, keeps out water, and I think it is much more attractive than most deck boxes. The hydraulic pistons on it are smooth and opening and closing are a breeze. One minor complaint is that it doesn't come with a latch and the top can open with a decent wind. Because of the pistons, it will stay open until you manually close it (which then leaves it susceptible to rain. But you can put a lock or pin through the holes in front to prevent this from happening.

I don't have a Suncast to compare, but this is high quality stuff.

We are looking to store all cushions of our 3+1+1 patio furniture set in one of these during fall and winter. Would the 165 gallon be enough or we need the 230 gallon one? It is hard to visualize at a glance. More importantly, is this a suitable use of it? Would rain, moisture, snow and bugs make its way in thru the months? Do we use some other protective barrier inside or outside? Thanks and reps.

I have the small one. Got UV protectant and put it on up front. The chest has handled 100 + in socal for like 3 years. I think I'll get the big one this time.

It doesn't get wet inside, but in socal it doesn't rain much, so it might matter elsewhere.

From what I know, and I could be wrong or they've changed policies, they would price adjust within 14 days as long as it is not a one day or a special sale. For instant savings that go on for weeks, it should be ok.

FYI the top of this deck box warps from being in the sun. If it's in the shade it's probably fine, but ours was on the deck and we are on our second top that's warped. I have a lifetime branded deck box that never had this issue.

I had just recently ordered one too so I asked about their price adjustment policy. For what it's worth, the chat rep said they'll price adjust up to 90 days, but I find that really hard to believe and it makes me wonder if they misunderstood that I was asking about sale pricing.

Do you have any specific lifetime one you recommend? Any rough idea what is the price like on that brand vs this one? If it is 10-30% extra, I don't mind springing for the sturdier box. Thanks and reps.
