This was about 1600 before covid, and that was well before the A7iv came out. Ridiculous

That's hard to answer without more requirements, but some to consider for value are the sigma and tamron zooms

Definitely check out used prices as well. If these are more than you are looking to spend then I would recommend APS-C instead.
