Overpriced - Yes. I bought my Embody on sale directly from Herman Miller for 1k with all the extras. This was in 2016, I get inflation but the new price is beyond inflation. The same chair I purchased in 2016 for $1050 is now $2020.

Over-hyped - I still don't think so. Due to life happening, at a young age I've always had lower back pain. Sitting down in an office chair never helped either. I researched Embody and decided to pull the trigger on it seven years ago. After adjusting I've never felt back pain sitting down, at least not in this chair. I used to work at an office and sat in multiple chairs depending which office/conference room I was visiting and every chair made my back eventually hurt. A lot of these chairs were very expensive as well. Plenty of online reviews comparing chairs, mostly all reviewers agree Embody chair is great.

I work from home now, and the only thing I would like to have on my Embody is a headrest. Luckily "Atlas Headrests" have made a headrest for it. I'm just waiting for mine to eventually ship.

Would I buy an Embody again? Yes. Would I wait for a bigger sale before buying one? Maybe

Herman Miller isn't the only bad guy here when it comes to over inflating cost, Steel Case has done the very same thing. The Haworth Fern does seem like an interesting option.

Some people buying these while still rocking a launch 2060. Pfft....come on man. It doesn't do anything better than most other chairs and if it did, not $600 worth.

Mine was on govdeals, just purchased this week actually.
How did you manage the delivery?

At $60 a piece, this is absolutely no brainer!

Auction was relatively local, so not an issue. It is not a relevant deal like posted here, but was just a comment that high end chairs can be found cheaply through other means.

I'm more interested in knowing how can I get something similar.
As what you got is way more valuable than the deal posted here 😀
I would absolutely try and get it through the website you mentioned, if I can!

Ended up going with steel case. Herman Miller feels like more hype than comfort. Plus it gave my butt prints.

If you have the money (or can afford affirm 0%) Logitech embody is worth the money. I knew I'd like it since I have the office version at my work and was able to test it out. 0 back pain or discomfort sitting it on long work days.

The key thing most people miss and don't understand is…TRY OUT THE CHAIR BEFORE YOU BUY IT!

I went to a local dealer and tried all the different Herman Miller and Steelcase chairs. For me, I learned the Embody didn't fit my body type and seating habits. Hell, some of their cheaper chairs were better and more comfortable for me. I ended up with my personal ideal fit which was a size c Aeron.

Try and buy these chairs from an authorized local dealer. They're worth the build quality and service alone. If something breaks or I don't like it, my local dealer will send a technician to replace or repair it.

If you can't afford it, that's ok, there are plenty of solid chairs you can get at any price range. Heck, consider buying used

I can go used or new. But wondering if a used HM embody (non gaming) at 700 is a good deal? 15'-16' model i think.

It's a comfortable and very unique chair. Nothing in the market like it. It conforms to my back and I found that very satisfying. Steelcase Leap was nice too. Of all of the chairs I tried at HM official store and liquidator stores, I've always found the Embody to be a step ahead of the rest. Sayl was nice too.

Got my embody G for $1100ish out the door in November. Would never go back to another chair. I work in data and sit for long periods as well. Impeccable. People like to bitch about a $1300 price tag. You get 30 days to try it. You pay $.30/day for a warrantied chair for 12 years. You likely spend hours per day in this chair. Why not be comfortable? Why not have support? People who complain about this will spend $2500/month at Starbucks.
How were you able to
Get the embody for $1100?

Would like to know that too? I am interested in the embody
Same price as the local HM shop. Was same sale for Cyber Monday last year. Been through so many chairs that were not comfortable, I had to go sit in it before pulling the trigger on a $1300 chair. As I walked in with my brother skeptically told him we'd probably come down to the store just to sit in a chair and leave because I've never liked the HM Aeron that everyone loves. WOW was I wrong! THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE BEST CHAIR I'VE EVER USED and I' e purchased expensive ones too. I'm not a gamer but sit at my desk for HOURS every day and usually my back kills me. I'm 6'3 300+ and this chair let's me work all day without back pain. The narrow top allows/encourages me to sit up straight and the moveable skeleton back is a game changer. The seat is somewhat firm but still giving and soft. It comes in a big box (honestly the nicest box I've ever seen), that you literally open one side, wheel the chair out, and raise the seat. That's it, zero assembly. Also, a great looking chair.
If you're prepared to spend $$$ on a chair, DO IT NOW. You won't regret it.worship

Cyber Monday and work rep. Quite lucky they stacked. The chair is worth every bit of $1300. You can try before you buy for 30 days. I'm sitting in the thing rn. Have been sitting most of my day.

Am I the only one who have seen this "discounted" price as a regular price just a couple of days ago?
