I've got a new wooden desk at work and at home. Noticed a permanent ring after accidently leaving a can on the desk... *sigh* I'm not a coaster kind of guy, so I was looking into the merits of a jumbo mouse pad vs desk topper. Was looking for a mouse pad as big as possible, in solid black, with minimal (or no) branding. Generics of this size were typically more than $10 shipped. (Using Amazon Prime) Usually closer to at least 15 and stock was constantly evaporating. There must be much more demand for these than I thought!

I needed at least 4, but started with 2, and sampled a few different kinds. I have the generics, and they're built pretty well and look nice. The smell coming off the last one was intense! Very chemical-ly! But the other 3 didn't have this issue.

I was going to buy this HP Omen, as it's just as cheap, without the need for Amazon Prime. (But I received mine quickly!) At least the branding is fairly subdued. And I would keep this one at home and take the solid pad to work.

Too bad they're sold out. The price seems solid. And if the build quality is as good as the generics I've received... Would be curious if anyone who got one could report back! Smilie
