Monoprice has a number of open box subwoofers at very attractive prices
Some of them are

I suspect that some of these that are discontinued such as the V1 10,12 and 15 are new units and just left over stock
30 day returns and 5 year warranty
You have to pay shipping costs on returns for non defective merchandise
They will not exchange an open box product with a " new" one should you have performance or shipping damage issues at delivery. You will have to return and rebuy a "new" one. They will exchange if they have another open box unit in stock
For those that have concerns about amp failures. They will ship out an new amp for warranty purposes. That has been confirmed many times on AVS forum and a couple of times for buyers here on slick deals as well
Their sales manager regularly participates in conversations on AVS forum
I have three Monolith subs in my main theater listening area and I have been consistently impressed with their performance over the 2-3 years I have owned them
If you can accommodate it..the 15" V1, at this price is amazing.
The 12" and up are very heavy and large
Do yourself a favor and measure your space and be prepared to have help if you need to accommodate stairs
Fed Ex dropped one of mine off at the garage door and didnt even try to bring it up my front steps

Great subs, I have 2 15"s and just got a 16" from a local seller for $1,200.

I noticed some of these "open box deals" in the 12, 15, 16, a while back. Excluding the 16", surprised they were priced higher than a new M-12 V2 I purchased a few months ago in a sale. I guess the recent 20% off didn't work on these? Their codes lack sense on how they will randomly apply. A full priced, in stock sub, meeting all requirements, will not work with code yet one on sale will work and end up a slick deal. Also random, I have no idea how I never knew these sealed versions ever existed.

Now just need the HTP-1 to come back into stock.

I had been watching that as well a while back but ended up going with an Arcam pre/pro
I had also previously grabbed a third Monolith 16 for a different 7.1 setup when they had the $200 off coupon. $1514 all in delivered.
Keep in mind that many of their open box subs and speakers DON'T have free shipping which might kill the deal.
The 16, sealed models and many speakers are subject to shipping charges.
Also, the Monolith 15 V2 can be had quite regularly for $1099 on Amazon so just a consideration for those looking.

HTP-1 had similar issues and it was pulled off from the website.
Anyone interested read AVS forum for more info or join one of the Facebook Monoprice group.
I hope they come back quickly with quality control because they are the best when it comes to price to performance.

Regardless, if you read AVS Forum you'd believe every monolith sub is DOA. The reality is they probably sell 30-1 compared to some of the ID companies so they'll definitely have more people posting their issues.
Maybe I've been lucky but I have had several Monolith subs over the past few years and all have been trouble free.
