Pretty sure you can do the same deal on Chewy right now too. I'm not going to do that to our delivery people though. Those 40lb bags are heavy. I don't order more than 2 at a time.
Agreed (maybe even pre-pandemic). Curious if there are other litter recommendations at a good value.
Yeah, it happened before the pandemic. Mid 2018 is when I first started to notice. We finally switched to grass seed based litter mixed with wood pellets. Expensive, but no more worries that the litter is killing the cats

I swear for whatever reason the bags I buy in store at Petsmart are less dusty than the bags I've had delivered by Amazon. Unless they've just improved lately. Ordered from Amazon March 2022 and it was dusty, last 2 bags from in store have been fine.

Same experience with Elsey's being really dusty the last few years. I buy the Petco store brand now. Don't bother with their self-scooping crap; it actually comes in 40# bags you can buy cheaper than the refill itself. Just have to ask them to get them from the back (or prebuy online for pickup/delivery).

They've been dusty AF since the pandemic. Did they change for the better, does anyone know? The brand said it was because of their supplier.
You're not joking, I buy in bulk and get years worth, with the bags just slid under the kid's beds and pulled out as needed.
I used two bags, one poured on top of the other in one of those big Lowes concrete mixer tubs for the cats, and one was a very old bag I had forgotten about and the other a recent one, and it really was night and day.
Old bag was bigger sharp grains and virtually zero dust, the new one was a much finer almost powdery, and dusted like crazy.
I had assumed it was just that one bag was treated very rough in shipping and so had been turned more fine sandlike from being tossed about, but you may be right and its just a different supplier with lower standards.
