Bonds are a little strange, compared to stocks but the math is straight forward.

The seminole work is in a book by Fabozzi.

But Fidelity and other brokerage firms should offer a good lesson and their platform is easy to use. Just find the timeframe you want, pick the highest "yield to worst" and buy it. Yield to worst basically means, if the bind is called or something else like that, what is the worst yield you will get.

Going to link the Fidelity page here but not sure if it will work but check it out.

https://www.fidelity.com/fixed-in...s/overview
Thanks for the info. BTW, I think you meant seminal (unless you're talking Florida State).

Check your favorite brokerage site to see a list of CDs they offer. You can also filter by length and whether they are callable, etc.

Last I checked Fidelity is offering some 6, 9, 12, month non-callable CDs @ 5.15% right now. Thinking about throwing a good chunk of change at 3-4 laddered CDs at this rate. What does everyone think, are we at/near the peak? Was the most recent Fed hike already baked in?

I did this about 1.5 years ago. NASA FCU has "shared branches" with lots of other credit unions where you can make deposits/withdrawals, and also use shared ATMs just like they were NASA FCU branches/ATMs.

https://www.nasafcu.com/branches-...d-branches [nasafcu.com]

Their map to search for them is funky and doesn't show results until you zoom in far enough.
Well, they work from Space so it makes total sense; zoom out as much as possible

So as Citizens Bank, 5.5% APY 10mo.
I don't see that anywhere.

Try to utilize a broker's tool, like Schwab. Very straightforward & step by step, pick your ladder length and budget.

If we are talking solely about insurance, ie: losing your money.....If you lost your T-bill money, it would mean a complete collapse of the US financial system. It wouldn't matter.
Not even US, global, if US fail they all farked, so if some peeps stops paying Tbills - it will be your last problem, there will be Russians nukes flying or shit like that.

This, or investing in VZ (Verizon stock) at around 7% dividend yield? Risk is the stock can go down from $37-38/ share price, but the 7% div yield may limit its fall below this, as long as they perform (generate cash and payout the dividend).
