CD locked your money, not worthwhile to park your cash IMO. I use Wealthfront. Standard saving rate is 4.55% with boost to 5.05% with refer link. It doesn't lock your money and you have access to your cash whenever. Also Wealthfront is insured up to $2M.
What? What bank is it?

Credit Unions are insured by NCUA [wikipedia.org], the credit union version of the FDIC. And NASA FCU is NCUA insured: https://www.nasafcu.com/about-us
Yes, and they are not for profit, so they're not gambling with your money making risky investments like the Final Four banks do

Can you get the interest earned paid out monthly on this CD? Or is the money locked up the whole time?

I noticed some credit unions have this feature at a slightly lower rate. Many people can use the money gained to help with bills etc

The draw for CDs at the moment is that it DOES lock up your money, and more importantly the rate, for x months. With the feds hinting at not increasing the rates in the near term we may be at peak interest rates. So people who have the extra cash want to lock in the rate while it still high.

That being said it doesn't seem like the rates will drop by much in 1 month.

And fwiw T bills aren't insured, but CDs are.
T bills are just as safe as bank CDs but are more liquid. "Insured" because they are issued by the United States Government and secured by the full faith and credit (the power to tax and borrow) of the United States. If that fails, CDs are screwed too.

Aren't these both "insured" or "guaranteed" by the same entity? "Full faith of this gvmt" language for T-bills and the FDIC which is deposit insurance backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government? This $32 trillion debt is a ponzi scheme of epic proportions we have created. I am not a conspiracy nut but it seems like we are peanut salesmen/women on the deck of the Titanic trying to make a few bucks as our ship sinks into the abyss. This is fine.

Not sure why anybody is wasting their time with this crap. The interest rate doesn't even cover inflation but of course that's not the biggest issue. The biggest issue is that we literally have a banking crisis in the makings.
