It's a nice deal, at least if it covers the equipment charge. Thanks OP

Won't know for sure until someone tries to pay their monthly dues or signs up for a yearly premiere sub.
Doesn't seem to have their basic residential equipment, only a LTE device with monthly fee and the $130 wireless modem with Bluetooth adapter. Hopefully I'm wrong as I'd love to get their $99 IP residential equipment and just have the local taxes and fees.
edit: looks like this model has a $20/mo service fee....

Normally, Amex only cares who the merchant is and a normal charge from Ooma should trigger the offer. I'm wondering, if they have gone through all the extra trouble to set up a separate store within Ooma that will trigger the Amex offer vs. just buying from Ooma, having the charge show up on your account as Ooma, and then the offer not triggering because you did not purchase from the Ooma Amex store??
It's also interesting HOW expensive their equipment continues to be. The Ooma Telo used to charge in the $60-75 range. You could buy a separate wireless adapter for $25 (this is the set up I have had for years). Now they want $130 for their Ooma Telo Wireless/Bluetooth compatible device. IMO, this equipment should be selling for $50 tops and they would still be making a profit...but they have to overprice their hardware.
Now, a little rant...my Telo device sucks - I think I'm on the 2nd or 3rd device...as they just seem to crap out after a few years. My current telo is blinking red and in need of a reboot. When I check the Ooma site, it even tells me my device is offline - BUT, my phone was blinking, indicating I had a call recording. I went to Ooma's website, listened to the recording, and now my phone is no longer blinking, indicating that there are no waiting recordings to be listened to. Yet, my device is still blinking red and I have no dial-tone. So, one hand, signal is still getting through but the device does not have dial tone - I have a feeling my Ooma Telo is getting ready to crap out again. It seems to have this issue over the past few months - I'll reboot it and it will work fine for a week or two and then require another reboot.
I was hoping to buy another Ooma Telo from their site with this offer but I don't see any for sale, other than the overpriced $130 model.
