I bought these a few years ago for a much better price per bulb. I write the date on them in Sharpie when I install them and I get around 11 to 13 months out of these. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with my wiring but when I use a GE bulb, they last much longer

These ecosmart aren't great. I get the expensive br40 bulbs rated for 20 years and I've been lucky to get 2 or 3 years from them. Lol luckily the warranty they just give me new bulbs off the shelf at the local HD

I switched my bulbs to eco smart over a 2 year period basically replacing old ones as they went. At least one out of every pack will either flicker or just fully give up under 2 years it seems. This has not happened on the GE, Phillips, Great Value or Great Eagle (amazon) bulbs i used in places that I needed to have lights on for 6+ hours a day

Not to mention their dimmable bulbs are actually quite terrible at dimming without flickering.

Our electric company has a sale with Ecosmart pretty often for $4.95/6 pack. Good bulbs, but they dont last as long as others. Mine seem to die out by flickering/strobe light effect.

LOL, I have bunch of failed GE bulbs, but none of ecosmart...
GE only licenses to third-party to make light bulbs...

Same, I bought a bunch of this brand from HD and also noticed pretty short life.

So, you should buy light bulbs from Walmart than HD ...

Similar experience to some others. I ended up with a bunch of EcoSmart bulbs from somewhere (HD?), and out of all the brands I've had running over the past couple of years, every failure seems to be an EcoSmart one. The ones that failed started flickering after < 1 year.

fwiw, the bad EcoSmarts I have had don't have opaque skirts around the bottom half of the bulb, as in the product image. So who knows if what I got was generic bulbs from XYZCorp that had "EcoSmart" stamped on them by HD.

Bought a bunch of others branded Feit (HD) and also Energetic (Amazon), none of those has failed in the same timeframe. YMMV, as usual.

Common in some track lighting as well as small recessed lighting fixtures.

Good luck!

These are 80 CRI.

That's surely a significant driver of the discount, as many of the comparable retail packaged ecosmart variants of these lamps are rated as a California compliant 90 CRI.

Good luck!
