I have 3 Japanese maples and the seedlings pop up like weeds around the yard. Beautiful trees, but the foliage doesn't tolerate the 100° plus weather or direct sunlight we get here in the summer very well. Best planted in a shady area in hot climates.
I'm very curious about the thumbs down. Japanese maples can be pretty expensive and you have photos of the plants, price and upc - and available locally for most at Walmart and three thumbs down. I've been a slick deals member for a long time, and these types of posts I find helpful when I see them. I don't mind a thumbs down, but would like to know why for future posts (and making a decision to not post).
.
If you find a deal continue posting, don't worry about the TDs
May be if there is product link put that for reference - that will help few not to TDs.

If it's an actual good deal it will get more up than down thumbs, simple as that. You sometimes get idiots who TD for sport right off the bat but you just have to let it marinate a bit sometimes.

These are hardy beautiful trees at a great price. I planted 2 and an a$hole squirrel chewed all around the base of the tree killing them. If I had caught him in the act I would have ended him. I have a friend that has several of these and some Dogwoods that are beautiful.
. GRANDMA Life Hack: collect your first urine of the morning and spread it around your plants to make a barrier. Literally a pissing contest. Animals will smell the strong acidity and think it's a bigger predator in the area.

Say my store has 5, should I buy them all? Seems like a great deal if available
Yes! I have a 28 year old Japanese Maple and it is 4 ft tall and 8 ft wide. They go for $thousands in my area!

I see lots of them in stock in Orange County. Just was at Home Depot (Tustin) today and they don't have anymore

So you hate the Japanese Maple because you were unable to protect it...? Lame excuse. GRANDMA Life Hack: collect your first urine of the morning and spread it around your pants to make a barrier. Literally a pissing contest. Animals will smell the strong acidity and think it's a bigger predator in the area.
I do not think DealaMeal said that, my friend. But, thank you for the advice. I will try in the morning.

I wish there was one available where I live .It would have been a perfect replacement for my Purple leaf sand cherry tree that died this winter.

Dogwoods are amazing, especially here in PNW

We had some of these stolen and the grounds supervisor swore they're worth over $1,000 each.

There was also a case where an informant told cops he saw a marijuana grow in someone's backyard that was determined to be Japanese maples after they raided him.

A lot of people, mostly kids, have no idea what it is and it's value.

I'm not quite sure what spreading the urine around your pants is going to do for your Japanese Maple, but it might keep animals from chewing on your naughty bits. You meant to say "plants", not "pants." That may be one of the funniest typos I've seen in a long time. I'm hoping that you're laughing with me on this.

These are very slow growing trees. I have 3 of them in my front yard, planted 20+ years ago, Started out as 7' saplings. Beautiful trees now but still not reaching full size. The one that gets more shade is the largest.

I bought these off my local craigslist, had to dig up and transplant. Maybe a better option if you can find larger saplings on craigslist for the similar $$. Lots of other landscape plants and trees out there for cheap money.

Brickseek says "unknown" but the Walmart page doesn't work. Apparently my store does has the 3.5G ones. Wonder if it's worth looking.
