Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

If using as monitor primary, LG is better. More support across forums, and ability to use LG companion which is fantastic.

LG weighs half which makes is much easier mounting on arms, maneuvering is a breeze.

If primary is TV, go Sony. However LG can be had under $800 so nothing to sneer at.

Advantage of Sony is their color for movies (marginal but some swear by it) and Sony's stand is definitely more premium.

Mattel toys has better plastics than LG feet (shockingly CHEAP)

I use this as my desktop monitor, and I ended up connecting an apple TV to it since the built-in apps kept crashing

The LG feet are metal, not plastic, just FYI. Maybe titanium.

They aren't metal for the small screens, it's the "high end" dense plastic Wink

Ah the good ole days when 40" TVs cost $1000. lol.

Would love one for the bedroom but would never pass the wife veto.

Hah, I had a deal alert on this that didn't trigger because it was set for "a90k". Good price. I'd have picked it over the c2 for desktop

Of course I miss this. I can'[t even pay video games right now, as I want a tv smaller than 55 for it and i don't like lg, so even though technically the lg is better feature-wise, I wanted sony and now it's right back up to $1299.
