I just wanted to open a business checking account and found this out.
$500 bonus for depositing $5000 and keeping it for 60 days

Beware this bank uses every possible avenue to deny your bonus. They claimed ach transfers from my other non US bank accounts to this account weren't "new" funds or money

For those wondering if they are eligible, I've had a business bank account at another large bank before. They needed my state business identification number to create the account. In my state you get assigned that number when you get a business license. That said, business license isn't usually very hard to get but expect to pay an $25-100 application fee(s) and pay business income taxes.

I called customer service about this code. My account is already set up. He said he did not see this promotion as valid and asked that I go into a local branch, close the account, and re-open one with a correct promotion code.

Yeah, no idea. He said he saw some correct promotion codes that should work but that the office will need to close and then reopen. I can clearly see this promotion code on reputable websites such as https://www.businessinsider.com/p...ars-2023-4 so I dont know what the deal is. I was with union bank a couple months back and closed the account right before the merger with US bank. Will I be still eligible for this promotion as a new US bank customer? TIA.

USBank is a very bad bank. I used to have a Hobby Lobby credit card with them for small stuff. I paid it off, and forgot about it. Then they made an extra 60 cents appear from out of nowhere and charged me a late fee. The final amount was close to $5. It was a waste of time and money. Very bad experience. Never again.

Sat on hold for hours to give additional information they needed. No one ever picked up with multiple attempts. Shows how awful their customer service must be. Sent email to withdraw my application.
