Banks are falling apart from bad treasuries values and trying to get money, this offer reeks of desperation. Be cautious, after you put your money in they might be in the news headlines and you'll be praying for a fed bailout to get your money back. Unless you have under $250k then you will be FDIC insured
I believe everything you say, random internet stranger.
Did you transfer from other bank or credit card
So you were hoping they wouldn't send a form and you could commit tax fraud?
Why would you think you wouldn't pay taxes on this?
I opted out of the debit card at account opening, and waited 18+ days and got nothing at all in the mail and started wondering what was going on. I ended up calling in and they ordered me a debit card. Now I'm hoping it will arrive this week so I can make my deposit within 30d of opening. Probably could go into a branch... but pass... haha

Thanks! I opted for digital checks, so hopefully I can use that to get my account number to sign up. Maybe try going that route. It was free for digital checks!
edit: a lot of you morons think I didn't follow the terms of this deal. I've done plenty of deals and am not new to bank account bonuses. As I stated, I transferred from non-US bank account to US bank account meaning 'new' funds according to pretty much any bank bonus offer. Not this bank though. Those of you calling me dumb can get bent and kick rocks lol
I have decided to stop banking with them. They told me the bonus are for new customers and not for Union Bank customers being forced to be with them since they bought the Union Bank.
I find it very fishy, I understand they are trying to make the best out of their policy but I can vote with my money. I leave them completely and went ahead with Marcus online savings its 5% interests.
US Bank is the worst bank and I will never bank with them.

Funny, I never got my card nor any papers from them, had to press the issue several times on phone and at a local branch. "Set up online banking" is a requirement of the offer and kinda hard to do without that info. I'm gambling they don't go insolvent before the bonus posts, but $15k <$250k so principal is fine. If the way they've handled my business so far is an indication of how they function while they're trying to make me a customer, I can't imagine how much care my business account will get once I commit to rely on them. Doubt I'll keep this open after my commitment time is over simply based on experience so far, I get more reliable service at McDonalds.
