Be cautious with the Extreme Pro v2's...the reason they've dumped to half the price is because they have had a horrible run with drives losing data left and right and straight up failing. Samsung T7 4TB's are ~$240 and have a proven track record. They're not as fast, but if you're dumping media from cameras, they're still faster than any media card you'll be copying from.

Look at the recent customer reviews on Amazon. When you sort the review by 4TB capacity only, then all reviews are horrible.
The people are complaining data corruption on Macs..

Thank you for the warning on this.

Just to clarify, it seems that it is the Extreme Pro V2 models that have the corruption problem. I don't see that the Extreme Portable version has the same corruption problems. Is that correct? If this is correct, then is the Extreme Portable version still relatively safe to use without a major worry of data corruption?

To clarity, Extreme v2 has same problem with Extreme Pro v2. Check the recent customer reviews of Extreme v2 4TB on Amazon.
