There's a difference between an activation code that works, and an activation code that was legally obtained and authorized for resale.

If these were basically "stolen" from Microsoft (which they almost certainly are), they do have the possibility of being revoked at any point...whether that is tomorrow or three decades from now.

Really the main personal debate over whether you should buy it is simply if the cheap price makes sense to you regardless of if/when it gets revoked/deactivated, and if you don't mind technically having an illegal license.

An activation key IS NOT a license to use the product. The misconception is that if it activates, its good. Microsoft Professional Plus is not even a retail or OEM SKu. It was previous only available as an Open License Agreement. Profession is a retail adn OEM sku ....NOT PLUS. Noone is going to vome after an individual user (well, most likely not), a company--yup..One disgruntled employee filing a complaint with BSA (Business Software Alliance) will trigger an audit. You would have to show an Open License Agreement or the purchase of a perpetual license from a Cloud Services Provider. I've been a Microsoft Partner and reseller for almost 30 years. The license is like the title to a car. The car will run just fine without it andyou have the key...but if ownership is ever questioned --well then you have a problem. Office Professional OEM and Office Professional Retail are in the $400 range from any legitimate dealer. You might as well pay zero and get a key for free off the internet. The theory of I've gotten away with it before so it's okay -- is not rational. Speeding is still a crime even if you don't get caught 50 times. As far as prosecution by Microsoft...they are extremely corporate in their legal approach, I've seen them take 5 years to prosecute..of course in that time they had so much data--that the defendent was bankrupted by the fines. If you don't want to pay the price -- use Libreoffice, Openoffice, etc. 100% piracy or I'd buy 10000 of these and give Office for free with every computer we sell. C'mon people if you need to ask if this is legit -- you're not bright enough to use a computer...You know it's BS so don't lie to yourself.
