I don't know if this is a legitiate company or getting credit card numbers. Two times I got the error message security number invalid (it could be European cards use differents numbers). Once of course, it could not take Discover but two times wit Costco Visa.

I'm sad to admit I used to buy activation keys on eB@y back in the days and never had issues initially.
However, last 5 yrs or so, the activation keys only last a short period and go invalid

I don't know anything about this site, but I'd keep that in mind

Like smilecrow8xxx below, I also purchased a win10 key from CDkey several years ago and it has been working fine.
Somebody once explained sites like CDKey is taking advantage of regional price differences, so the activation code is certainly legit. Whether that practice is ethical can be debated.
However, after MS customer service told me flat out I must buy a new copy of OS because I replaced mother board due to a voltage glitch, I don't feel bad at all in doing so.

Is there any way to redeem/save a purchased key, so to say, for future use? For years now I've used Office Professional Plus 2016 with no issues but I may need to change down the road, for compatibility reasons or whatever else.

I'd like to purchase this deal, however I'm worried that if I purchase and don't go to use the code for lets say 4 years, by the time I do then it'll be dead or otherwise redeemed.

So is there any way that I can purchase, perhaps tie it to my MS account or something similar, but not actually install Office 2021 at this time?

Thanks!

Another promo likely from the shady NerdUsed global install-code finder. They now function through a variety of names and sell through many marketplace sites (GameSpot, PC World, StackSocial, FastKeys, SoftKeyWorld, Click2Save, AppleInsider, TMZ, ZDNet, MacWorldShop, AndroidAuthority, etc.). Those sites are not endorsements. They are just financial transaction hubs similar to eBay.

NerdUsed is finding install keys through any means possible (MSDN user development license banks, corporate, government, or educational codes, etc.). The deals are limited-time deals and they move on to another marketplace site for a different promo. Often, the deals suddenly end when Microsoft determines complementary for-development codes origining from a legal MSDN account user are exhaused or misused.

More recently, NerdUsed is selling codes through the financial marketplace hubs of 'credible' newspaper and TV news media sites. Their mailbox is in the U.K. but there is no actual office there. From their actual sites that they directly sell through, we know that English is not their language (using translators), so it's almost certain that they're operating out of a non-English speaking country. They likely do not reside in the U.K. Complaints and re-issuing of declined codes is mostly done through their Telegram account for legal and privacy purposes.

Positive site reviews are totally fake. Notice they are all very English first and last American and British names - again to appear more legitimate. No bad reviews, yet we know they exist from the many discussion boards complaining of needing replacement codes, not getting responses, etc. It's pretty sick that they be allowed to promote "Regular $349.00" and "lifetime license" - and your recourse if/when your code is diabled? Go to the seller? Go to the reseller? Go to Microsoft? Not.

There is no difference between a $30, $40, $10 or $2 install code from NerdUsed and other gray-market code finders/creators. They are all the same. It's interesting how people feel it's more "authentic" when they pay more money for one. Therefore this is not a "good deal" compared to other gray-market licenses - and this is definitely NOT equivalent to a $300-$600 Microsoft (or other) software license purchased from almost any U.S. store (except Craigslist and marketplace hubs).

Regarding your financial and personal privacy, you're better off purchasing by cash or from a site that does NOT remit your personal contact (or credit card) details to NerdUsed (or any other install code finder/creator). There were a couple of reports from buyers having credit card numbers compromised 1-2 months later, which they associated with their install code purchase; however they purchased from one of NerdUsed's direct-sell sites.

"It installed" does not equal "it's legitimate and for life" when purchasing this way.

An activation key IS NOT a license to use the product.
The misconception is that if it activates, its good.

Microsoft Professional Plus is not even a retail or OEM SKU.
Accurately stated.

What's next, promotions for supposingly brand pharmaceuticals sourced from Russia, China or Iran?
Deals for cheap surgeries in Mexico?

I can't speak about this site, but I have used these keys from other sources for years and never had any issues with activation or deactivation. My source is usually Stacksocial. When MS switched HUP to Office 365, I went to these sources for Office. I have several PCs at home as well as some older ones that are long gone that I have built and have used these keys for years. Download the ISO from MS and uses the key, no danger of malware
Of course this is above my knowledge. But I can download Office from MSFT without having an activation means "from" MFST? Seems like it would have to have proof of purchase of sorts before downloading. Although I know I have anti virus software that I just reactivate with a new key every year. Bottom line. I can download it from MSFT easily?

Interesting buyer reviews for "RoyalCDkeys" (similar to the many other sites from the same owner):
Quote :
They sent me a key that does not work for Windows 10 enterprise, I contacted support, they are of no help. If your key doesn't work, they probably won't exchange it for another one.
Date of experience: May 07, 2023

I bought a microsoft key and the key didnt work. Total scam, dont use this site
Date of experience: May 06, 2023

Scam. After pay they delete the Order. I did Not receive any key. No reaction of the support.
Date of experience: May 05, 2023

They failed to confirm my purchase even that I send to them bank receipt and I paid that royal protection costumer premium bla bla bla, still after 2 weeks without a key and monthly are gone
Date of experience: April 28, 2023

Bought a Windows 10 Pro license key. The one they sent was already activated by someone else. I tried contacting support, but they did not wish to replace it.
Avoid this website!
Date of experience: May 06, 2023

Pretty much a scam. My order never came and the support didn't help at all. I didn't get a refund either.
Date of experience: April 25, 2023

Just a scam site. Never received a key, waiting for refund now.
Date of experience: April 29, 2023

etc. etc.

I am sysadmin in IT department of the one of the universities. We have paid annual MS subscription for our university. From my admin account web page on microsoft.com I see keys available from 200 to 2000 activations for different MS products. We also able to give activation key for some products for our students. So I am pretty sure those cheap keys are stolen from one of those enterprise accounts. And of course, they are totally illegal even if you will be able to activate office with it. Sooner or late they all will be banned.

Quote from FarFieldPattern :
Seems kind of odd that MSFT allows these key selling websites like Stacksocial to go on year after year if they are doing something MSFT doesn't want them to do, maybe they've decided it's better to allow someone to use a gray copy of Office than to chase them away to using Google's office product.
Let's say office is priced at $300.

Let's say Microsoft wants to spend 1 staff time to hunt down the ip address of the thief associated with the gray market Office.
Once that's done, submit a request to the isp for the owner.
Then.... Somehow identify the person using the office (might not be the owner of the internet account). Might even need to use a Microsoft account on windows on the pc laptop running the office.

Now what?
Not a criminal case (murder etc), so they'll have to file a lawsuit. Small claims given the tiny amount of loss $300. Maybe bigger if they can think of other ways to claim more.

If they tried the police raid route, problem is Microsoft turned on Bitlocker by default - so user can simply refuse to give up his password and no way to prove that laptop is running office due to the encryption.

(And if they have a backdoor, they certainly do not want to reveal this in court.)

Given that they've already gotten their $$$ from the corporate license, it's not worth paying the legal staff the hourly salary to chase after the small fry.

...

Now, what is odd is if one isn't going to pay Microsoft their legal stated selling price for their products, why pay a 3rd party any money at all?

There are ways around the keys....
