There are multiple valid keys (that the subscription portal generates) for almost every product that Microsoft sells.
So, my guess is that websites like these "royal cd keys" also generate keys from a VS subscription portal and sells them for throwaway prices.

Anyway, check out GnuCash. 100% free open source software from the Gnu free software foundation. It's got double-entry accounting and has been around for decades.
I will be switching my business' books from Quickbooks 2013 (which I keep running on an ancient VM but that Intuit finally killed by removing the ability to sync online with my bank AND removing the ability to generate Accountant's Copies) to GnuCash later this year. I paid in full for a legit copy of Quickbooks 2013 back in 2013 (yes, really), and they gimped it even though it's a "perpetual" license that should run forever so long as I can keep the OS running to support it.

If these were basically "stolen" from Microsoft (which they almost certainly are), they do have the possibility of being revoked at any point...whether that is tomorrow or three decades from now.
Really the main personal debate over whether you should buy it is simply if the cheap price makes sense to you regardless of if/when it gets revoked/deactivated, and if you don't mind technically having an illegal license.

Google does keep canceling things on me though. They are not dependable at all. Especially killing Play, that hurt, as Youtube music is trash. I have a Pixal phone and it seems every update changes how things work without improving how anything works. I use a Pixal 6a and have had Google Fi for five years or so because it is cheap but still sometimes miss my Iphone.
