I have this case, in white. It is quite big and heavy but it's a dream to build on it. If you configure your RGB right, it looks great inside the case. This is a great choice of a case if you plan on having both your GPU and CPU on watercooling.

I have this exact case i built my first custom loop last year, but it lives under my desk, but i would have totally preferred to put on my desk to admire my loop and the lights if there was enough room. so its definitely not silly to aim for that use case.
btw, the ports can be mounted on any side and if you really want, even move it to top, but that latter option requires an add on plate.

highly recommend this case, and love this color of the 3 options, but do note that this has the darkest tinted glass of the 3 colors

I elevate my computer to avoid pet hair and dust bunnies inside the case. But I agree. That's way too low. Just asking for something to bump and break the USB port.

On the floor... But that's my preference and I too have a very large desk...
My current lian-li is on the floor, raised up a few inches to avoid dust...
I use my desk for work and wouldn't want to give up that amount of space...doesn't matter how pretty my computer might be... The quad monitors on my desk (actually raised off the desk on posts) however along with my keyboard, mouse and speakers are all the computer parts I want showing...
